Your experience begins a few miles outside of Natchez at the Double C Ranch on historic Kingston Plantation. What can I expect on my horseback riding adventure?
Upon arrival and after some entertainment to kick start the experience, you’ll take time to meet the horses and have a brief training session to build trust and confidence. Rest assured these are some of the finest trained horses in the south all personally trained by professional horseman David Carter.
You will ride across the historic Kingston & Hillside Plantation and through the historic cemetery of the Descendants of Jersey Settlers which dates back to the 16th century. Next, ride along the open fields through a cattle operation looking for baby calves before entering the lush forest of south Mississippi. On this part, you will ride on manicured trails with breathtaking views. Prepare to test your knowledge of local trees, wildlife, and historical facts as your guide explains how horses have helped shape the history, heritage, and landscape of this magnificent region of Mississippi.
